I cannot tell you what a fabulous experience I had. We adopted a 3yr old Cocker Spaniel who was severely malnourished when they found him....weighing only 9lbs our Riley was infested with ticks and fleas and skin and bones. He barely would look up. We were in search of a Cocker Spaniel after our 10 yr old Cocker Spaniel died last June. They had a Cocker Spaniel puppy....perfect and pristine with a long waiting list......the girl at the front desk told us about Riley....he was not out for people to see as he was too sick. She said if you look past the obvious flaws skinny- fleas- in need of a bath....he might just need some good food and a little tlc. She was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo supportive and encouraged me to come back to see him several times before his available date...so I did. I took my boyfriend back to see him, and those little eyes just reeled us in and we were hooked. A week later we took him home......infested with fleas and all. Here we are 4 months late
